The Bryson Water Wheel On Dobbs Hollow Road - June 2013
This water wheel was used by the family to make electricity in the hollow. It was made by Ervin Bryson. They were the first in the area to have electricity. Some even say that had it before most residents in Woodbury. Tennessee Archives say the water wheel was built in 1930 and powered a waterfilled battery.
Built in 1930 by Ervin Bryson. Ground his own corn with water. Charged wet cell battery with water power for use with radio and for 6-volt electric lights. Building is gone now but the water wheel remains
